2024 Spring RFL Sign-Up and Running Thread: Round 2 (Moo Moo Farm)

I played another hour today. Still only the one qualifier. Oh well. 11 hours to go with hopefully some good luck on the horizon! I did at least score two skillers (Bow/XBow and Druid Summoning) during this last hour of play. Forget about not finding high runes; the game was also very stingy with other stuff during the first 8 hours. No good bases. Hardly any charms or jewels that were keepers. If it's not raining runes then I'd really like a few more skillers instead :D
 
This is really the first time I've had a semi-efficient Cow runner and I didn't really have a lot of expectations based on previous years. As far as bases I've seen nothing and only a few Threshers and Colossus Vogues worth picking up to check (all either 1 or 2 sockets. I'm still picking up grand and small charms and have found two skillers nether of which had a second mod. Still some hope for better. I got an Etheral Edge on my very first run and followed that up with a Sazabi's Ghost Liberator. Then there was a gap until a Razor's Edge dropped and then another long gap till the last few runs where a Credendum, Baranar's star and a Wizard spike dropped. And on my last run last night (#52) I got my first Cow King's Hide.

No qualifiers in my last 10 runs and now just under 13 hours.

Found another Annihilus token. Cow King's Set now complete, although none of the items actually came from the Cow King. That means all set items now found in D2R

Why is it a Cow King and not a Cow Queen?
I mean he (she? they?) has udders so is surely genetically female.
Maybe they identify as male so are a king, I know, it is 2024 now.
But they wouldn't have considered this when the game was first released, so...

At long last, I got qualifier #2 today 🤩 9 hours to go.

Also I picked up this base today:

I think it will become a ‘Fortitude’ for my mercenary if the cube gives it four sockets—and if I find a Lo before Round 2 ends 😅

The Cow King himself is a miser, 68 runs and he hasn't dropped anything but low level set items, not even his own items. I've been stuck on 7 qualifiers for a while now. I've got 3 1/2 hours left and I'm hoping for just one more good drop.

I picked up Viper Fork, IK Stone Crusher, a second Wizard Spike and Tal Rasha's Swirling Crystal. It seems I'm getting those instead of runes now.

I'm going to run at least part of a second 20 hour set. Hopefully, I'll find a few qualifiers.

I respecced my Sorc I used for Round 1 into Nova-sorc, and are gonna complete the set with her. 370 min left to go.

I'm going to start a second set. I've sent my first set result to @PhineasB. The RNG got even with me as I had no qualifiers in the last 9 hours. I even had some runs with zero runes of any type not dropping. I've managed to get my run times to mostly be in the 10 to 12 minute range, which I think is ok for not having teleport.
 
Set completed. Did drop five qualifiers in the last 83 runs - a pretty good streak!

@LouB what build are you running?
 
This round has coincided with the last two weeks of my spring semester classes. That combined with the fact that cow runs are not my favorite means I've been slacking. Just over 5 hours run so far, but I've got 3 qualifiers already. My three-shift, twelve hour workdays start Thursday evening, so it's time to buckle in and try to finish the set before Sunday night.
 
3 hours into my second set and the first qualifier of this set. Counting the first 20 hours its been 41 runs since I had a qualifier. I'm fairly happy with the quality of what's dropped, but no Zods yet!
 
In my second set, I tested 3 different builds, each for 2.5 hours. Efficiency measured by Jewel, SC, GC drops.
Demon Machine Enchantress (No Static) - 145 P7 Cows/Min
Demon Machine Enchantress (With Static) - 157 P7 Cows/Min
PN/CE Necro - 138 P7 Cows/Min

Compared to my past RFL performances:
1.14d Necro (2021 RFL) - 149 P7 Cows/Min
1.14d Necro (2022 RFL) - 147 P7 Cows/Min

I felt rusty on D2R Necro, especially in the 1st hour, so I did worse there. Could also be some RNG in drops based data. Necro also kills larger groups at once due to revive aggro and CE, so I probably missed more drops there. Even so, MF Run Counter (kill count only available in D2LoD) puts my 1.14d Necro at 157 P7 Cows/Min.

Nova Sorc (first set of 2024 RFL) - 181 P7 Cows/Min
Nova Sorc (2023 RFL) - 179 P7 Cows/Min
Mosaic Sin (2023 RFL) - 145 P7 Cows/Min
1.14d Nova Sorc (2020 RFL) - 139 P7 Cows/Min

Looks like my D2R Nova Sorc is in her own league, and the rest are in their own group.
I had to look back as far as the 2018 RFL to get a Javazon data point - 120 P7 Cows/Min. Seems kind of low. Maybe my gear or playing skill was worse back then. I don't have an Amazon leveled up in D2R so getting new data for her will have to wait.

For now I will return to the Enchantress to try to finish out the second set. After playing builds with Energy Shield in cows for the last 2 years, playing that Necro for a few hours reminded me how dangerous it is to teleport in cows with Amp.
